Prophet Muhammad PBUH is the name given to a man of extraordinary character. He
is the seal of the Prophets and belief in him is a part of the five pillars of

Brief Life History
The
Holy Prophet PBUH was born in Makkah in the month of Rabi ul Awwal, 571 A.D. He
lived in this world for 63 years, after which he passed away on Monday, 11th
year of Hijri. His father was Abdullah, who passed away 6 months before the
Holy Prophet’s birth. His mother Aminah passed away when the Holy Prophet was
only 6 years of age. The Prophet’s grandfather Abdul Muttalib died when the
Prophet was 8 years old, after which his uncle Abu Talib looked after him. The
Prophet PBUH married Hazrat Khadijah when he was 25 years of age, while she was
40 years old. The Prophet strived and struggled for Islam throughout his 23
years of Prophethood.
Life of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH in Makkah
The
Holy Prophet received his first revelation through the angel Jibrail at the age
of 41. This is when those most close to him accepted Islam, including his wife
Khadijah, Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Zaid. When the Prophet was
ordained to invite people to Islam, he faced extreme persecution and hatred
from hundreds in the region. The Prophet never once retaliated and instead
prayed to Allah to guide them on the straight path. From boycotts to being
driven out of Makkah, the Prophet faced the toughest of times from the Quraish
tribe in Makkah. In the 12th year of Prophethood, the Holy Prophet
went on Mairaj, where he was given the gift of 5 prayers for Muslims by Allah.
Life in Madinah
In
Quba, the Prophet made the first mosque of Islam, after which he left for
Yasrib or Madinah, where he built the Masjid e Nabwi. In the 2nd
year of Hijra, he fought in the battle of Badr; in the 3rd year of
Hijra, he fought in the Battle of Uhad and in the 5th year of Hijra,
he took part in the battle of Trench. All these battles are significant
landmarks for the savior of Islam.
The Holy Prophet’s
Character
The
Prophet’s impeccable character can’t be expressed in words. He displayed mercy,
tolerance and patience to every single one of his enemies, no matter how much
they mistreated him. His love for his wives and children was exemplary. His
strive and motivation to spread Islam and work for the betterment of the
Muslims is undeniable. His bravery can be seen in all the battles he fought. He
was honest, fair, and just in every single one of his dealings.
The greatness
