CONCEPT OF GOD IN ISLAM

Every religion in the world comprises of different fundamentals to hold onto the word of God. In the world of billion and trillion of individuals, everyone has the right to choose and follow their beliefs. However, in the light of any religion, there is a solid concept of God or Gods accordingly lets have a look on concept of God in Islam.

 CONCEPT OF GOD IN ISLAM

WHAT IS ISLAM?

Islam, the second largest religion in the world has strong and precise conviction that it is the monotheist religion. The followers of Islam firmly believes in only one God (ALLAH) and His last messenger Prophet Mohammad PBUH. Muslims all around the world has a faith that the whole universe is the creation of Almighty Allah only.

CONCEPT OF GOD

Almighty Allah the creator of this universe has power over everything. He created mankind for one purpose only –to worship Him and follow the steps prescribed by Him. Allah is the singular God with no partner associated with Him whatsoever. He created men, angels, stars, moon, animals, birds, plants and everything that exist in this universe etc. to praise Him only.

 PURE MONOTHEISM

Almighty Allah the Lord of this universe has sent numerous messengers to guide His mankind and teach them the ethics of living in this world. All the messengers taught one lesson about only Allah by proclaiming His greatness as the creator and guiding mankind to an exaltation of their only Lord.

“He is God: there is no god other than Him. It is He who knows what is hidden as well as what is in the open, He is the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy. He is God: there is no god other than Him, the Controller, the Holy One, Source of Peace, Granter of Security, Guardian over all, the Almighty, the Compeller, the Truly Great; God is far above anything they consider to be His partner. He is God: the Creator, the Originator, and the Shaper. The best names belong to Him. Everything in the heavens and earth glorifies Him: He is the Almighty, the Wise.” [Quran, 59:22-24]

 A TRUE BELIEVER OF ALMIGHTY ALLAH

In order to be a true Muslim, one should firmly believe in the oneness of Allah. The one God in Islam provides with the concept that only Allah is the domineer, Creator and nourisher of all mankind. This notion validates the believer of Islam. However, not only this characteristic of God is required to be a Muslim, a true believer has a blind faith on the verdicts of Allah and all five pillars of Islam. An individual believes in the teaching, commands and guidelines of Islam given by Almighty in His Holy Book- Quran.

“It is God who has given you the night in which to rest and the day in which to see. God is truly bountiful to people, but most people do not give thanks. Such is God your Lord, the Creator of all things: there is no god but Him. How can you be so deluded? [40:61-62]

ISLAM THE GREATEST RELIGION

When a believer of Islam vindicate his faith in the oneness of Allah, he accepts the power of his Lord and feels fear in his heart. He believes that the Islam is the only way of living which can help him fulfill God’s command. The firm faith in the Day of Resurrection and afterlife not only validates the belief but also help Muslims to follow the right path in this world.

Almighty Allah exclaims each individual to conduct a conscientious life by depicting the life of Prophet Mohammad PBUH. Our Lord ordered us to lead a life where remaining cognizant of our ultimate liability in front of our only God should be our only goal in this world.
