What happens after one performing Hajj?

Performing Hajj in Makkah is one of the biggest honors for Muslims. Muslims all over the world wait for the opportunity to visit Bait-ullah during their lifetime. Some people even save each penny for Hajj and Umrah  Services and wait for years to bring themselves closer to their creator. Mostly Muslims get only one opportunity to visit Kaabah while others go their twice or thrice for the purpose of Hajj and Umrah.

After performing Hajj or Umrah pilgrims visit the city of Madinah, battle sites, graveyards and some historically significant places of Makkah. Some people take advantage of their time and go for shopping to buy dates, Quran, Zamzam water, prayer beads, prayer mats, abayas, head scarves, gold jewelry and clothes for their family and friends. After pilgrims complete all Rukn of Hajj, they are called Hajji.

Being the Muslim USA we all know that we have a trend of welcoming our relatives and friends on airports. In the same way, when pilgrims return from the blessed city of Makkah, they are heartily welcomed at the airport. After that, they start receiving guests at their home who come to congratulate Hajjis for their blessed journey. Afterward, Pilgrims visit their relatives, family, and friends to give them gifts and mementos, which they have bought for them from blessed cities of Makkah and Madinah. This is the culture followed in Muslim and that's how this occasion is celebrated.

As pilgrims return from this blessed journey, they feel spiritually clean and refreshed. They start their life with great intentions of pleasing their creator and fell closer to Allah SWT. Even Prophet Muhammad (SAW) describe the state of the pilgrim as a newborn baby who is free of all sins if he has performed Hajj with intention of pleasing God. So it's a great honor and it purifies one's soul from all sins. After returning to regular routine, pilgrims experience temptations and old habits, but as their level of Iman is higher after hajj they resist those temptations.

Some scholars state that if a pilgrim comes back from Hajj in a better state than before, then his Hajj is accepted in the eyes of the Creator. So if the hajji refrains from sins and fell change in their lifestyle, then this is the hint by Allah the merciful that their Hajj is accepted. So if you are a pilgrim, you should remain conscious and come back a better Muslim. The sole purpose of this blissful and spiritual journey is to bring oneself closer to Allah and seek His pleasure who is Rahman and Raheem.
