The places in Medina that you should not miss

Every Muslim yearns to visit Medina to see the city where his great Messenger used to live and where he preached Islam. Muslims have a great love for Medina as this city belongs to their prophet Muhammad (PBUH) because it is the birthplace of the apostle Muhammad (PBUH).

Do you want to explore medina? Do you want to visit all those places that have the memory of Apostle Muhammad(PBUH)? Yes? Then you must visit the following places.

Masjid-E-Nabwi:

Imagine that you can stand next to the holy grave of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Imagine the feeling of supplicating for him while you can see his holy grave. Think about the serenity you would feel in your heart while you would stand at the same place where he once stood. What a beautiful feeling it would be. Well! You can have this wonderful experience when you visit Masji-e-Nabwi. This is not enough, this same mosque was built by the hands of our beloved prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) an it engulfs the home of the apostle within it as well. 

Old Bazar:

You might like to get some traditional or ancient stuff from Medina as a memory of your visit to Medina. These things might act as the reminiscent of your visit to Medina in later stages of your life.You must pay a visit to the old bazar of Medina to get fine and admirable stuff like; souvenirs, ancient and traditional Arabian products. 

Dar Al Medina Museum:

Would you like to go to see as to how Medina used to look when Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) was alive? If yes then this museum is the right choice. The setting of this museum is similar to that time with the display of the stuff from that time.

Medina Media Museum:

If you have a keen interest in the history of Medina an evolution of Islam within it then you must take out some time from your busy tour schedule for this museum. This is open till in the evening. Hence, do not plan a night visit that might disappoint you. 

Masjid-e-Quba:

Do not forget to pay a visit to first Islamic mosque. Do offer two Nawafil for that might earn you a great reward. Do not forget to pray for us as well! 

Mount Uhad:

Uhad war has a great importance in the history of Islam. It was fought on the Uhad mount. The only way to imagine the Uhad war in an apropos manner is by standing on the mount Uhad. This can help you to imagine how the battle would have been fought. 

Jannat Al Baqi:

This is the cemetery where a great number of companions of Apostle (S.A.W) and some family members are resting. This is the must visit place as those are the people who sacrificed much for making Islam reach us. Women must not get disappointed as they are not allowed to enter this cemetery as they can stand outside of it an pray for the ones resting inside. 

These are the places that you must not miss at any cost. If you miss any of these then your trip to Medina would not be complete. Try to manage your time in such a way that you may get able to see these places. Have fun there and remember us in your prayers!
